Panda Bears are easily distinguished by the black patches around their eyes, across their bodies and on their ears. Furthermore, according to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, panda bears are an endangered species; studies show that there about 2000 or less giant panda bears left in the wild (1600 panda bears are in the wild and around 300 are found in zoos). Since there had been an increased rate of farming and deforestation, Panda bears have been relocating from the lowlands to other areas. In addition, giant panda bears tend to live within central China's mountain ranges in the Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces.
